Have you ever looked up and realized that you got sucked into the online vortex? You check, then respond or follow a link, read an article, find yourself looking at photos of someone’s vacation… and an hour has gone by and you’ve gotten nothing done.

Facetime is a timer you can use to reduce these nano breaks that end up eating up your entire day.

You set the timer to the amount of time you want to work and amount of time you want to spend in Facebook/Twitter/email Land.

The app is based on how our brains work. Turns out, we work best in focused 50 minute sessions. Then it’s good to switch to a different mode of thinking (like Facebook/Twitter/email) for 20 minutes. Then go back to focused work.

Facetime is designed to cycle back and forth between 3 times you select.

Particularly effective combinations:
50 minute work - 20 min Twitter - 50 min work
10 min email - 40m work - 10 min Facebook

Basically, we made a timer that would help us get our Twitter/Facebook/Flickr/email addictions under control.
The app is both a timer and productivity tool.

Features:

Cycles automatically. You can pause it during work or FB/Twitter time.

Not new agey. No Buddhas or tinkly music.

Visual countdown when it’s time to make the switch.

Record you own sounds to snap you out of the vortex.

Ships with human voice alert sounds

Several audio Easter eggs hidden in app

Languages: English
